History

This residential building derives its name from one of Italy’s oldest Cities; Siena, which is also the home of the oldest known horse race, Il Palio. The theme continues on its façade which is adorned by three “golden horses” designed by Guy Portelli, who is a Fellow of the Royal Society of British Sculptors as well as the Vice President of the Royal Society of British Artists and depicts the “Palio Horses” .

Guy Portelli is an extremely well known contemporary British sculptor, his works can be seen at the London Pavilion – Piccadilly Circus, The fountain at Opera Terrace – Covent Garden and The Commonwealth Institute, to name but a few. Guy was also featured on the BBC TV programme Dragons Den where he secured backing to develop his Pop Icon Collection.
