History

The building was formerly The Hugh Myddleton School and was built between 1891 and 1893. It was designed by Architect T.J. Bailey and officially opened by The Prince of Wales in 1893. They were marketed under the name ‘1892’, the date which appears on the School Board’s tablet on the main building.
