Bow area property guide
Bow is an area of East London, in the London borough of Tower Hamlets. It is a built-up, mostly a residential district consisting of period properties, new build apartments, popular gastro-pubs, restaurants including many acres of green spaces.
The area offers a diverse variety of properties, including Victorian and Georgian houses in conservation areas (Victoria Park, Ropery Street, Tredegar Square), riverside developments, as well as new state of the art developments of apartments, such as the Bow Quarter Development (which is on the site of the old Bryant & May match factory). There is also a convenience store, leisure centre, bar and restaurant on the site.
Location
Bow is bordered west of Royal Docks and Stratford, east of Bethnal Green, north of Limehouse and Canary Wharf, and south of Hackney. It is part of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.
Residents of Bow benefit from good transport links to the city, with both London Underground and Docklands Light Railway stations within walking distance from the town centre. Bow Road tube station on Mile End Road is on the District and Hammersmith and City London underground lines, and Mile End tube station is on the Central Line.
Located close to Bow Road tube station, is the Docklands Light Railway (DLR), with quick links to Canary Wharf, Greenwich, Lewisham and Stratford. Further south, there is Bromley-by-Bow tube station on the District and Hammersmith and City London Underground lines. Bow also has good bus links with Bethnal Green and Stratford.
